Overview
The Vimar VM08319 is a standard blank module for the Vimar 8000 Series, used to close off an unused module position in a flush-mounted frame or panel. It gives you a clean finish where a device is not installed, which is common on helm switch panels, cabin control stations, and refit jobs where layouts change over time.
The module is made from halogen-free thermoplastic with a matt, untreated surface in white (similar to RAL 9001). It has a 45.00 mm device height and 19.00 mm depth, which helps when you are checking clearance behind a faceplate or inside a crowded console.
Key features
- Closes a standard 8000 Series module opening to keep plates and panels neat when a position is unused
- Built-in, flush-mount style with claw fastening for a secure fit in compatible supports
- Halogen-free thermoplastic body for cleaner material behavior in enclosed spaces
- Matt white finish (similar to RAL 9001) that blends with common 8000 Series white components
- 45.00 mm device height and 19.00 mm device depth for clearance planning
- Label space or information surface available for simple identification where needed
Compatibility and fit
This blank module is intended for Vimar 8000 Series installations that accept standard modules. It is used when you have an open module position in a frame or faceplate and want a finished surface without adding a switch, outlet, or indicator.
Before ordering, confirm your existing series and module format on board. If your vessel has mixed series across cabins or refit work from different years, checking the frame and plate style first avoids mismatches.
Installation and setup
Installation is a straightforward built-in fit using claw fastening. The module presses into the support from the front until it seats flush, leaving a smooth front surface that matches the surrounding plate.
If you are working in an energized panel area, isolate power to the panel circuits first even though this piece is not a live device. It keeps the job safer when you are reaching behind plates and supports.
Use on board
This is a good match for boat owners and yards who want spare positions on a control panel for future add-ons, or who are cleaning up an older layout after removing an unused device. It also helps keep dust and loose debris out of unused openings in interior consoles and cabinetry.
Maintenance and care
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap if needed. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive pads that can polish the matt surface and change the appearance compared with neighboring modules.
