The Vimar Plana Series is a 2-module technopolymer cover plate for panel-mounted electrical controls and fittings. It has a 40 x 137 mm front size, a 9 mm depth, and supports both horizontal and vertical mounting, which helps when the panel layout needs to stay compact and tidy.

This cover plate is made from halogen-free thermoplastic with a glossy surface and an integrated label area. It is intended for built-in panel applications and can also be used where the installation is carried through wall ducts or subfloor duct boxes.

For boat work, this type of plate makes sense on protected interior panels where Plana modules are being used, such as cabins, galleys, nav stations, and other dry service areas. Its IP00 rating means it should stay away from exposed weather, spray, and washdown locations.

Variants

This range is offered in six finish options: black, ivory, matt nickel, matt silver, silver, and white. The change across the range is mainly the visible finish, so the plate can be matched to the panel style or surrounding switch trim.

The black, ivory, and white versions use an untreated surface, while matt nickel, matt silver, and silver versions use a lacquered surface. The 2-module format, mounting orientation, dimensions, and general application stay the same across these listed versions.

Compatibility and fit

This is the cover plate portion for a 2-module Plana panel installation, so it should be matched with the correct Plana support and device layout already planned for the panel. The label area is useful when the installation includes multiple switching functions and the circuits need to stay easy to identify during daily use or maintenance.
