The Vimar Plana series is a range of 1-module technopolymer cover plates used to finish a single compatible electrical point on a panel, bulkhead, or furniture face. Across the range, the plates are halogen-free and rated IP00, so they belong in dry, protected locations such as cabins, galleys, chart tables, and enclosed helm panels rather than exposed deck areas.

The range includes both standard Plana and Plana Up versions. Standard Plana variants in the 14666 family use a 40 x 80 mm face with 9 mm depth, while Plana Up variants in the 14666U family use a 40 x 86 mm face with 9.6 mm depth. That means the cover plate choice is not only about color, because the visible profile and fit need to match the insert and frame family already installed.

Variants

This range varies mainly by visible finish and by design family. The available colors include Black, Matt Silver, Silver, Ivory, White, Matt Nickel, Plana Up White, Matt White, Matt Ivory, Matt Dolomite Grey, and Matt Black.

The 14666U options are Plana Up versions, while the 14666 options are standard Plana versions. Because those two families do not share the same face dimensions, the plate should match the frame and insert family already fitted on the panel.

Compatibility and fit

This is a cover plate only, so it is meant to complete the appearance of a compatible 1-module Plana installation rather than act as a standalone electrical device. It works best when you are replacing an existing plate, finishing a new interior switch point, or keeping the same trim style across several electrical positions on the boat.

For marine use, it makes the most sense in interior spaces where the electrical assembly is sheltered from spray and routine washdowns.
