Overview
The Vimar VM21041 is a grey blank module for Eikon Tactil cover plates that closes an unused module position and keeps the panel looking finished. It uses halogen-free thermoplastic with an untreated matt surface, is colour-matched to RAL 7024 (similar), and has a device depth of 15.20 mm.
On a boat, this is the small part that cleans up an Eikon Tactil switch panel when you leave a spare slot for a future upgrade, remove a device, or need to blank off an opening on a multi-module cover plate. It is non-transparent and includes an information surface for simple identification when you are laying out circuits at the helm or in the cabin.
Key features
- Made for Vimar Eikon Tactil modular cover plates as a blanking insert for unused module positions
- Grey, matt finish with RAL 7024 (similar) for consistent colour matching across the panel
- Halogen-free thermoplastic construction with untreated surface finishing
- Non-transparent front with an information surface for marking or identification
- 15.20 mm device depth to help you confirm clearance behind the cover plate
- Useful for closing unused module spaces on cover plates with multiple module positions
Compatibility and fit
This blank module is intended for the Eikon Tactil range. If your existing plate and modules are from a different Vimar series, match the series first so the fit and finish stay consistent. It occupies a single module position and is used where there is an empty opening in the cover plate layout.
Installation and setup
Installation is the same type of mechanical fit used across the Eikon Tactil modular system. With the cover plate removed, the blank module is placed into the open module position, then the plate is refitted. No wiring or electrical connections are involved because it is a blanking component rather than an electrical device.
Use on board
This part makes the most sense when you are building an Eikon Tactil panel and want to keep a spare slot available, or when you need to close an unused opening so the panel stays tidy and easier to wipe down. It is also handy during refits when the final device layout is not locked in yet.
Maintenance and care
Clean with mild soap and water and avoid aggressive solvents that can haze or soften plastics. If the panel is in an exposed location, a quick rinse after salt spray helps keep the finish looking even with the rest of the switchgear.
