Overview

The Lopolight 301-011KL is a 5 nautical mile, 225° white masthead navigation light with a horizontal mount and a silver anodized aluminum housing.

It runs on 10 to 32 VDC, so it fits common 12V and 24V DC systems, and it draws 8.5 W (about 0.71 A at 12V or 0.35 A at 24V). The light output comes from two LEDs and the unit is sealed to an IP68 rating for exposed mast and arch locations where spray and washdowns are normal.

This model is sized for vessels in the 20 m to 50 m range and is built as a dedicated masthead light rather than a combo fixture. Installed with a clear view forward, it keeps the required 225° arc unobstructed.

Installation and wiring

Mount the base on a flat, solid surface at the masthead or on an arch where the light has an unobstructed view forward. The horizontal mount is meant for level installation, so take a moment to square it up before tightening hardware.

Power is a simple two-wire connection: red to positive and black to ground. Use the supplied cable gland to seal the cable entry and keep spare gland openings closed with the included blinding caps, especially in salt spray zones.

Compatibility and placement

This light is intended as a dedicated masthead light for larger yachts and workboats in the 20 m to 50 m range. It fits typical navigation light circuits on 12V or 24V DC panels as long as supply voltage stays within 10 to 32 VDC.

For correct visibility, avoid mounting behind antennas, radar arrays, or rigging that can cut into the 225° sector. If your boat has multiple forward lights or a monitored navigation-light system, confirm the overall system layout before installation.

Maintenance and care

Rinse the exterior with fresh water after heavy salt exposure and check the mounting fasteners periodically for looseness from vibration. Clean the lens with mild soap and water and avoid harsh solvents that can haze acrylic and PMMA parts.
