Overview
The Garmin 010-11425-01 is a 6 ft (1.8 m) threaded power cable used to connect compatible Garmin marine electronics to your boat's DC supply, including the GLS 10 sonar module.
The connector uses a separate locking O-ring and a threaded locking ring. That setup makes cable routing easier when you have to pass through tight rigging runs or smaller holes, and it helps keep the plug seated once the ring is tightened down.
Key features
- 6 ft (1.8 m) overall length for short power runs at the helm, console, or electronics locker
- Threaded locking ring helps resist vibration-related loosening compared with a push-in connector
- Separate locking O-ring lets you pull the cable through smaller openings before final connection
- Used on Garmin systems that accept this threaded power connection, including GLS 10 and select GPSMAP chartplotters/black boxes and sonar modules
- Good replacement option when an original harness is damaged during a refit or electronics relocation
Compatibility and fit
This cable mates with Garmin units that have a threaded power port. Typical compatible devices include GPSMAP 6208 and 6212, GPSMAP 7212 and 7215, GPSMAP 8208, GPSMAP 8500 and 8530 black boxes, GSD 24, and Panoptix LiveScope system components that use the same threaded power connection.
If your Garmin unit uses a different power harness style without a threaded collar, this cable will not mate to the power port.
Installation and routing
Route the cable first, then install and tighten the locking parts at the device once the run is complete. Leave a small service loop and add strain relief near the connector so normal movement and vibration do not load the plug.
When you need more reach than 6 ft, extend the conductors using sealed splices and a wire size that matches the device's current draw and the added distance.
Where it makes sense on board
This cable is a good match for installations where the GLS 10 or a chartplotter back box sits inside a dry locker or under the helm and the wiring has to snake through rigging tubes. The threaded collar also helps on trailered boats where harnesses see regular tugging during loading and service.
