Overview

The Vimar Idea 16110 is a flush-mounted modular push button rated at 16 A and 250 V, with a 1P normally closed breaking contact and a 16 A normally open auxiliary contact. It uses a momentary push action and fits the Idea device format for panels that need a clean built-in look and straightforward control wiring.

IP40 protection, snap-in mounting, and a halogen-free thermoplastic body with a matt finish make it a better fit for protected interior areas on board than for places exposed to spray or washdown. There is no built-in lighting or monitoring contact, and the front includes a label area that can help on multi-switch panels.

Variants

This product is offered in two colour configurations within the same Idea push-button family.

Both versions share the same push-button function, 16 A and 250 V rating, IP40 protection, flush-mounted snap-in installation, and thermoplastic construction. The colour changes between variants, and the listed height and depth differ slightly, which matters when faceplate alignment and rear clearance are tight.

• VM16110.B: Color Ivory. Listed size is 24.80 mm wide, 48.00 mm high, and 42.50 mm deep. The lighter finish aligns with warmer panel and plate colours, and the deeper body is worth checking behind the mounting surface.
• VM16110: Color Gray. Listed size is 24.80 mm wide, 50.10 mm high, and 36.10 mm deep. The gray face suits darker trim schemes and keeps rear clearance slightly shorter.

Compatibility and fit

This push button is a good match for boats already using Vimar Idea devices, especially in cabins, galleys, heads, electrical lockers, and enclosed helm stations where a momentary control is needed. Fit should be checked against the existing Idea mounting setup and the available depth behind the panel before ordering.

Because the protection rating is IP40, it is better suited to dry or sheltered installations than to open cockpit, foredeck, or other washdown areas. Where several controls sit together on one panel, the front label space helps keep switch functions easy to identify.
