Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 2340 is a battery terminal mount busbar set that adds positive and negative connection points directly at a threaded-post battery terminal. It is rated for 32V DC and 100A continuous, so it fits many 12V and 24V boat electrical systems where a few branch circuits need a clean connection point at the battery.
The bus material is tin-plated C11000 copper, and the mounting hole clears a 3/8 in. [M10] stud. Each screw terminal uses a #8-32 screw with a captive star lock washer, and the insulated covers meet ABYC/USCG insulation requirements.
This style of busbar is useful when you want to tidy up battery connections instead of stacking several small ring terminals on one post. It makes sense in battery boxes, console compartments, and other tight spaces where service access matters.
Key features
- Adds both positive and negative busbars directly at a threaded-post battery terminal
- 32V DC maximum voltage and 100A continuous rating for many 12V and 24V DC installations
- Tin-plated C11000 copper bus material for strong conductivity and better resistance to corrosion in marine electrical spaces
- 3/8 in. [M10] mounting hole fits common threaded battery studs
- #8-32 screw terminals with captive star lock washers help hold smaller branch-circuit connections in place where vibration is part of normal use
- Insulated covers meet ABYC/USCG insulation requirements
Installation and setup
This set mounts right on the battery stud, so accessory feeds can stay close to the source instead of running first to a separate bus location. That can simplify short battery-area wiring runs and leave the main battery cable connection less crowded.
It is best used where several lower-current circuits need organized takeoffs from the battery and where those circuits already have their own protection in the line. For boats with limited room around the battery, that can make troubleshooting and seasonal service easier.
Compatibility and fit
Fit depends on the battery terminal style first. This model needs a threaded-post battery with clearance for a 3/8 in. [M10] stud, and it is intended for DC systems up to 32V. The 100A continuous rating sets the load limit, so it is better matched to grouped branch circuits than to one heavy feed.
It suits owners who want a cleaner battery connection point for small onboard electrical circuits without moving to a larger remote busbar. That can be a practical upgrade on center consoles, trailer boats, sailboats, and small cruisers where battery access is tight and wiring needs to stay organized.
