The Vimar Idea 17093 Rondò cover plate is a 1-module or 2-reduced-module faceplate for Vimar IDEA installations, with clamp mounting, horizontal or vertical orientation, and a 91 x 80 mm front size.
On board, this is the finishing piece you see around the switch or outlet, so the main fit check is the IDEA module layout and the backing frame behind it. Much of the range uses die-cast metal, the series also includes wood finishes, and the plate is IP00, which places it in protected interior spaces rather than exposed deck or wet exterior locations.

This range changes mainly by finish. Options include White, Ivory, Black, Slate Gray, Metallized Silver, Metallized Bronze, Metallized Anthracite, Polished Gold, Matt Gold, Brushed Nickel, Polished Chrome, Black Chrome, Antique Brass, Cherrywood, Teak, and Walnut.
The listed variants keep the same 1-module or 2-reduced-module IDEA format, clamp mounting method, and 91 x 80 mm face size. The practical difference is the visible finish, which lets the plate sit more naturally against white liners, dark panels, metallic trim, or timber joinery in the cabin.
Compatibility and fit
This plate is a non-powered trim component, so voltage and network type are not the deciding factors. The important check is whether your switch or outlet assembly uses the Vimar IDEA format with 1 module or 2 reduced modules and the correct supporting frame behind the plate.
Because it can be installed horizontally or vertically, it works well where panel space is tight or where the switch layout needs to follow the line of a bulkhead. IP00 protection makes it better suited to cabins, heads, galleys, and other sheltered interior spaces than to open cockpits or washdown areas.
Use on board
This is a good match for refit work and clean replacements where the control point is already based on the IDEA system and the goal is to restore a finished look without changing the device layout. The broad finish range also helps when you need the visible trim to stay consistent with the rest of the interior rather than stand out as an obvious replacement part.
