Overview

The Simrad 000-11598-001 is a pair of edge bezels that fit NSS7 evo2 and Zeus2 7-inch multifunction displays. They finish the outside edge of the display on the helm, covering the exposed side profile and giving the install a cleaner, more integrated look.

This accessory is helpful during a new dash install, a refit where the old trim is scuffed, or when you want the display to sit more neatly against surrounding panels. Since it is strictly trim, it does not touch power, NMEA 2000, Ethernet, or transducer wiring.

Compatibility and fit

Fit is specific to NSS7 evo2 and Zeus2 7 displays. If you are unsure, confirm the model name on the display label or in the unit system information before ordering, since other screen sizes use different bezels.

These bezels mount to the display housing itself rather than acting as a universal dash trim. Plan for clearance around the unit so nearby switches, rails, and dash trim do not interfere once the bezels are fitted.

Installation and setup

Install is easiest with the display removed from the console so you can align the bezels and seat them evenly. Before fitting, wipe the display edge clean so grit does not get trapped at the helm.

Once installed, double check that the display can be reinstalled without pinching cables and that any sun cover or protective lid you use still fits normally.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt spray off with fresh water and wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh solvents and abrasive pads, which can dull the finish over time.
