Overview

The Vimar Eikon EVO 21643 is a 4-module cover plate for Eikon wiring devices, laid out as 2+2 with 71 mm centre spacing. It finishes a 4-module mounting grid and can be fitted horizontally or vertically, so it works on helm panels, cabin bulkheads, or interior console pods where you want a clean bezel around the mechanisms.

The plate measures 95.4 mm by 166.4 mm and is about 9.6 mm deep. It is rated IP00, so it is not sealed against spray or washdowns and should be installed in protected locations or inside an enclosure when used on board.

This cover plate is offered in a wide range of finishes so you can match surrounding hardware and interior trim. The options in this range include aluminium looks such as polished aluminium, bronze tones, titanium, and several gold finishes, along with crystal-style looks such as aqua, pearl grey, opal brown, and diamond-style blacks and whites.

Across the range, the module layout, mounting direction, and footprint stay consistent; the visible finish and, in some cases, the face material change. When mixing finishes across a boat, confirm the finish name matches the rest of your Eikon EVO plates and controls.

Compatibility and fit

This plate is meant for Vimar Eikon installations that use the 4-module (2+2) layout. It covers the mounting frame and mechanisms behind it; the electrical rating and switching function come from the inserts you choose, not the cover plate itself.

Before ordering, check that your box or duct system is set up for the 71 mm centre spacing and that you have the matching Eikon mounting frame for a 4-module opening.

Installation and onboard use

Fitment is straightforward once the mechanisms are aligned in the mounting frame: snap or clamp the plate in place and verify that edges sit flat against the panel or bulkhead. On boats, keep it out of direct spray zones and away from routine washdowns unless the whole assembly is protected by a gasketed enclosure.

Care and cleaning

Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap solution, then rinse and dry to avoid salt residue marks. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents, especially on polished surfaces and crystal-style finishes.

Who it suits

This plate makes sense for refits and new builds using Vimar Eikon EVO controls for cabin lighting, accessory switching, or system control panels, where appearance matters and the installation sits in a sheltered interior location.
