Overview
The Garmin 010-02367-80 is a GPSMAP 1243xsv 12-inch chartplotter and fishfinder combo bundled with a GMR 18 HD+ dome radar and U.S. and Canada Garmin Navionics+ mapping with Auto Guidance+ support. The 12.1-inch WXGA touchscreen (1280 x 800) uses an IPS panel, runs on 10 to 32 Vdc, and carries an IPX7 water rating for real helm use.
On the sonar side, the unit has built-in Ultra High-Definition SideVü and ClearVü scanning sonar and supports 1 kW CHIRP traditional sonar. Sonar performance depends on the transducer you pair with it, and a transducer is not included in this package.
For radar, the included GMR 18 HD+ radome connects over Garmin Marine Network and brings an 18-inch, 4 kW dome with up to a 36 nm maximum range into the same display. It is a straightforward setup for boats that want charts, sonar, and radar at one helm screen without piecing the system together item-by-item.
Key features
- 12.1-inch WXGA touchscreen (1280 x 800) with IPS viewing for better readability from wide helm angles
- Runs on 10 to 32 Vdc and is rated IPX7 for incidental exposure to water at the helm
- Garmin Navionics+ mapping for offshore, coastal, and inland waters in the U.S. plus coastal Canada coverage, with Auto Guidance+ support
- Built-in Ultra High-Definition SideVü and ClearVü scanning sonar, plus support for 1 kW CHIRP traditional sonar (transducer required)
- Two microSD card slots (32 GB max card size) for charts and data, with a microSD card preinstalled
- Network-ready for a Garmin system: NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, J1939 receiving, and two Garmin Marine Network ports
- HDMI video out for mirroring the chartplotter screen to a compatible display
- Includes GMR 18 HD+ 18-inch radome radar (4 kW, up to 36 nm max range) with 15 m power and network cables
Compatibility and fit
This is a GPSMAP 12x3 series unit with an overall size of 12 1/8 in wide, 8 15/16 in high, and 3 1/4 in deep. For a clean retrofit, plan extra space behind the unit for cable bends and strain relief, especially if you are using Ethernet, NMEA 2000, and a transducer lead at the same time.
Installation and setup
The chartplotter can be bail mounted or flush mounted, and the package includes the hardware for both. For flush installs, seal the cutout properly and avoid mounting on a flat horizontal surface where water can pool behind the dash. If you will not have access to the back of the unit after mounting, install any needed microSD cards and connect cables before final fastening.
The included radar cables are 15 m each, which helps when the radome is going on a hardtop, radar arch, or mast while the display stays at the helm. Route cables away from ignition wiring and high-current DC runs where possible, and secure them to limit vibration wear.
Sonar and transducer considerations
The GPSMAP 1243xsv has a 12-pin transducer port and supports SideVü, ClearVü, and traditional CHIRP sonar, but the transducer choice determines the actual frequencies, beam shapes, and how well the system reads at speed or in deeper water. The included 8-pin to 12-pin adapter cable can be helpful when reusing certain existing Garmin transducer wiring.
Radar integration
The GMR 18 HD+ radome ties into the display through Garmin Marine Network, so radar returns can be viewed on dedicated radar pages or overlaid on the chart. For the most stable overlay and advanced target tracking features, pairing the system with a compatible heading sensor is typically part of a clean install plan.
Network and system integration
NMEA 2000 support lets the unit share position, heading, depth, and other data across a backbone and pull in supported engine and tank information from networked gateways. It also supports NMEA 0183 connections for gear such as a DSC-capable VHF, and it can receive J1939 data for engine information on compatible installs.
Power input is 10 to 32 Vdc with a 6 A fast-acting fuse. On 24 V systems, keep the chartplotter on a protected electronics circuit and use clean grounding practices to reduce noise in sonar and radar performance.
Use on board
This bundle makes sense for coastal cruising and offshore runs where you want radar on the helm screen for night running, fog, and traffic awareness, while still keeping full sonar views for fishing. It is also a strong fit for boats that already lean Garmin and want the chartplotter to act as the hub for radar, sonar, and networked data without adding extra displays.
