The Garmin GMR Fantom is an open-array radar antenna array replacement offered in black, with 4 ft (48 inch) and 6 ft (72 inch) length options.

This listing is for the rotating array only, not the radar pedestal or display. It bolts onto the matching GMR Fantom pedestal when you are replacing a damaged array or rebuilding an existing open-array installation.

Array length affects how the picture separates targets: the longer 6 ft array can help distinguish returns that are close together compared with a shorter array on the same system, but it needs more mounting room and clean 360-degree rotation clearance.

This antenna array is offered in two configurations, and the main difference is the array length.

Match the array to your pedestal model to keep the mechanical fit correct and maintain the beam characteristics expected for that system.

• 010-01365-10: Size 4' (48 inch). Fits the GMR Fantom 4 pedestal and is easier to package on smaller arches and hardtops.
• 010-01366-10: Size 6' (72 inch). Fits the GMR Fantom 6 pedestal and typically needs a wider hardtop or a dedicated radar mast for full rotation.

Installation and setup

Plan a mounting spot where the array can rotate without clipping antennas, outriggers, lights, or a hardtop overhang. A little extra clearance helps once the boat is pitching and rolling.

Use a stiff mounting surface and recheck hardware after the first few trips. Vibration up high can loosen fasteners over time, especially on boats that run offshore or spend a lot of time in chop.

Compatibility and fit

This is not a complete radar. You will still need the correct GMR Fantom pedestal for the chosen array length, plus a compatible Garmin display connection at the pedestal to run the radar.

If you are replacing an existing array, confirm your pedestal model before ordering, and measure the available swing radius on your mount so the longer array clears nearby gear.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt off with fresh water and avoid spraying high-pressure water directly into seams and moving areas. Periodically inspect for chafe from lines or covers and keep the array free of gear that could snag during rotation.
