Overview
The Lumishore 010-14457-00 is a 3 m power extension cable for Lumishore Lux SL and SNL strip lighting runs. It adds extra reach between the strip light and the power feed so you can finish a clean install without relocating where the wiring comes from.
This is the kind of part you reach for when the lights are going under a gunwale, along cockpit seating, under steps, inside lockers, or up into a hardtop and the existing lead falls short. Extending with a purpose-made cable also helps keep junctions in a dry, serviceable spot instead of buried behind trim where salt, washdowns, and vibration can cause trouble later.
Key features
- 3 m (9.8 ft) extension length to add reach in strip light installations
- Made for the power connection used on Lumishore Lux SL and SNL strip lighting systems
- Useful for routing power around bulkheads and through conduits without moving the supply point
- Helps keep connections accessible and away from constant spray when planned into the run
Compatibility and fit
This cable is for Lumishore Lux SL/SNL strip lighting power runs. It is not a chartplotter power cable and it is not a data or network lead. Before ordering, confirm your existing strip light harness is from the Lux SL or SNL family and that you have a clear routing path for the added length.
On board, plan for strain relief at both ends and leave a little service loop where you can reach it later. If the cable passes through fiberglass, aluminum, or tight chase tubes, protect it with a grommet or chafe sleeve and keep it clear of hinges, sliding hatches, and steering or throttle linkages.
Installation and routing
Run the extension high and dry when you can, and build a drip loop if the path drops toward a wet area. Secure the cable at regular intervals so it is not free to whip in chop, and avoid pulling it tight across sharp edges or screw points behind panels.
If any part of the system requires splicing elsewhere in the run, use marine-grade connectors and sealing methods that match the environment, then re-check the lights after the first few trips as everything settles and moves under load.
Who it suits on board
This extension is a practical add-on for owners and installers doing strip lighting in long cockpits, under-gunnel accent runs, step lighting, and interior toe-kicks where the cleanest power source is not right next to the mounting location.
