Overview

The Lumishore 010-14459-00 is a 5 m power extension cable for LUX SL/SNL strip lighting, used to extend the 6-core connection between the strip light driver and the strip light. Multiple extensions can be joined, but the total extension length should not exceed 15 m.

This is a straightforward way to gain extra reach when the driver is mounted in a dry, serviceable location and the light run is installed elsewhere on the boat, such as under gunwales, along cockpit coamings, under steps, or inside lockers.

It is an extension only. It does not replace a strip light driver or control module, and it is not a DMX extension cable.

Installation and routing

Plan the run first so the extra length lands where you can still access the connection for service. Route the cable away from sharp edges, heat sources, and moving parts, and protect pass-through points with proper chafe protection.

Support the cable so vibration does not load the connectors, and avoid placing connections in areas that stay wet, such as the bilge.

Who it suits

This is a good fit for boats where the lighting driver is mounted inside the helm, cabin, or an electronics locker while the strip light is installed out on deck, in the cockpit, or along the gunwales.
