Overview

The Vimar SICURY universal outlet insert is a grounded 16 A, 250 V socket insert that accepts several common European plug formats in one outlet. It takes 2P 2.5 A Europlugs, 2P and 2P+T 10 A and 16 A Italian plugs, and 2P+T 16 A German plugs, which is useful on boats where chargers, galley appliances, and small onboard equipment may not all share the same plug standard.

The unit uses a monobloc thermoplastic body with a screwed terminal connection and straight insert direction. IP20 protection places it in dry interior spaces such as cabins, galleys, and navigation stations rather than exposed deck or washdown areas.

Variants

This product is offered in two color configurations.

The difference between variants is the visible finish. The universal outlet format, 16 A and 250 V rating, and plug compatibility stay the same across both versions.

• VM01299.1.N / Color Black. This version suits darker switch panels and other black electrical trim on board.
• VM01299.1 / Color White. This version gives a lighter look that blends more easily with light interior panels and cabin liners.

Installation and onboard use

This insert works well where one outlet may need to handle more than one European plug pattern without relying on separate adapters at the panel. It is a practical match for interior refits, new cabin installations, and service areas that need a grounded AC outlet in a small footprint.

Because the protection level is IP20, it should be mounted in a location that stays dry and protected from spray. On boats that run in saltwater or see frequent washdowns, this outlet is better kept inside the accommodation spaces or other sheltered compartments.
