Overview
The Lumitec Maxillume2 is a high output LED flood light with white dimming for working light on deck, spreaders, and around the cockpit. It runs on 10 to 30 VDC for 12V and 24V systems, is rated at 36 W, and produces 2100 lumens of white light at 4500K with a CRI of 70+.
The beam pattern uses DeckSweep technology, which pushes more of the light where it is useful on board instead of wasting it straight ahead. Current draw is 2.95 A at 12 VDC and 1.38 A at 24 VDC, and the sealed housing is rated IP67 for wet installations and washdowns.
Key features
- 10 to 30 VDC input for common 12V and 24V DC systems
- 36 W LED output with 2100 lumens (white) for broad-area deck lighting
- 4500K white output with CRI 70+ for a natural-looking work light
- White dimming capability for backing off glare at the dock or while rigging
- DeckSweep beam pattern that puts light across the deck and cockpit where it gets used
- IP67-rated sealed construction for exterior mounting in saltwater conditions
- Operating temperature range from -35 to +55 C (-31 to +131 F)
- Multiple finishes and mounting styles to match the boat and the installation surface
Variants
Maxillume2 is offered in multiple configurations to match different mounting locations and finishes on board.
Finish and mounting style vary between versions. Electrical performance remains the same across the listed variants (10 to 30 VDC, 36 W, 2100 lumens, 4500K, CRI 70+), while overall dimensions differ between pedestal mount and flush mount housings.
- 101133: Brushed Stainless Steel finish with pedestal mount. Dimensions are 7.31 in (18.56 cm) wide x 2.39 in (6.07 cm) high x 2.92 in (7.42 cm) deep, and the pedestal stand-off can help when mounting on structures where surface clearance matters.
- 101134: Brushed Stainless Steel finish with flush mount. Dimensions are 8.30 in (21.08 cm) wide x 2.72 in (6.91 cm) high x 2.13 in (5.41 cm) deep, and the flush mount profile sits closer to the surface for a cleaner install.
- 101135: White finish with flush mount. Dimensions are 8.30 in (21.08 cm) wide x 2.72 in (6.91 cm) high x 2.13 in (5.41 cm) deep, and the white housing blends well with painted hardtops and fiberglass surfaces.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location so the light can throw across the working area without shining directly into the helm or crew sightlines. Use a properly sized fuse or breaker and marine-grade wiring for the run length, and keep connections protected from spray and corrosion.
Flush mount installations need airflow behind the mounting surface. Provide ventilation above and below the light opening, with at least one vent opening about 0.25 in tall by 7 in wide above and below the mounting position, so heat can escape during extended use.
Electrical and dimming
The light is built for DC systems and draws approximately 2.95 A at 12 VDC or 1.38 A at 24 VDC, which helps with circuit planning when multiple floods share a breaker. For dimming, use a compatible control or dimmer rated for DC LED loads, and test the dimming range before finalizing wire runs and switch locations.
Use on board
This style of wide flood light is a good match for boats that need strong white working light for rigging lines, loading gear, cleaning up after a run, or lighting the cockpit when fishing. It fits well on hardtops, towers, spreaders, and aft overhangs where you want coverage across the deck without running AC power.
