Overview

The Vimar 6-7 Modules Flush Mounting Box is a 6-7-module flush box for masonry walls that measures 59 x 174 mm, with a 49.6 mm depth and nine break-out openings for 20/25 mm conduit.

It is made from halogen-free plastic and leaves enough room for internal wiring, which helps when several devices need to be grouped in one location without crowding the back of the box. The body is couplable, and it includes a patented rack for a dividing screen when separation inside the box is needed.

This product suits solid-wall installations rather than hollow partitions or thin panels. In a marine environment, that usually points to shore-side service areas, marina buildings, or refit spaces with masonry walls, not exposed deck locations or lightweight interior liners on board.

Variants

This box is offered in two configurations that keep the same 6-7-module format for masonry walls.

The differences between variants are the body color and glow-wire rating. The box size, conduit entry layout, mounting method, and IP00 protection remain the same across both versions.

• VMV71306: glow wire 650 °C, light blue. This version keeps the standard light blue finish and matches projects where a 650 °C glow-wire rating is specified.
• VMV71306.AU: glow wire 960 °C, black. This version uses a black body and carries the higher 960 °C glow-wire rating for installations that call for that thermal classification.

Installation and fit

The box is flush-mounted and set up for screw-fixed devices. Conduit can enter through the break-out points sized for 20/25 mm runs, which gives the installer flexibility when routing cables from the rear or from adjacent wall chases.

Because the box itself is rated IP00 and does not serve as an exposed protective enclosure, the finished result depends on the support, front plate, and devices fitted over it. It is a practical match for electricians, boatyards, and marina facilities that need a multi-module flush box in masonry, and less appropriate where the wall is hollow or where the installation point is exposed to spray or weather.
