Overview

The Vimar Protected & Watertight Series is a 2-module IP55 cover plate family with screws, made for Eikon and Plana series installations on 60 mm distance between centres mounting boxes. It uses plastic with full insulating materials and adds a protected front cover where water spray, dust, and day-to-day contact are part of the environment.

On board, this type of cover plate makes sense when a switch point or control position needs more protection than a standard interior trim piece. It suits cabins, galleys, heads, utility spaces, and other protected areas where damp air, splash, or routine washdowns are common, as long as the installation is based on the matching Eikon or Plana layout.

This cover plate is offered in three finish options.

Across the listed variants, the core format stays the same: 2 modules, screw fixing, IP55 protection, compatibility with Eikon and Plana series, and fit for 60 mm distance between centres mounting boxes. The visible difference between versions is the finish color.

• VM14932.14: Color Granite Grey. This darker finish blends more quietly into darker panels and switch surrounds.
• VM14932: Color Grey. The grey version keeps a neutral technical look that works well in utility spaces and standard interior panels.
• VM14932.01: Color White. White is easy to match with lighter interiors and white switch trim.

Compatibility and fit

This is not a universal cover plate. The 2-module layout, the 60 mm box spacing, and the Eikon or Plana platform all need to match the existing installation. That matters in refit work, where cover plates can look similar but sit differently once the panel is closed up.
