Overview

The Vimar Protected & Watertight Series is a 3-module IP55 cover plate with screws for flush-mount boxes used with Eikon, Arké, and Plana wiring devices. With the cover closed, it maintains IP55 protection against dust and water jets, which matters when switches or outlets sit near cockpit entries, exterior bulkheads, utility spaces, or other areas that regularly see spray and airborne grime.

This is the protective outer cover for the installation, not the electrical device itself. The flap uses an anti-UV membrane, includes a locking system for opening and closing, and the frame uses captive screws so the hardware stays with the plate during installation and service.

Variants

This product is offered in three color configurations.

The variant difference is finish color. The 3-module format, screw fixing, flush-mount application, and IP55 protective cover layout remain the same across the range.

• VM14943.14, Color Granite Grey. This finish gives the cover a darker appearance that blends more naturally with darker switch surrounds and panel areas.
• VM14943, Color Grey. This keeps the cover in a neutral grey finish that suits utility spaces and mixed-color installations.
• VM14943.01, Color White. This finish pairs well with lighter interiors, white device faces, and white liner or bulkhead surfaces.

Compatibility and fit

It fits 3-module flush-mount boxes and is used with Vimar Eikon, Arké, and Plana series devices. For refits, the main check is mechanical compatibility: module count, box style, and device family need to match the cover.

Because this is a mechanical protective cover, fit is not driven by 12V or 24V system voltage. It can be used on low-voltage or AC installations as long as the underlying box and device series are compatible.

Use on board

This cover is a good match for boats that use Vimar switchgear in areas where a standard interior plate is too exposed. It works well at cabin entrances, in cockpits, and in service spaces where keeping spray and dust off the switch face matters as much as keeping the installation neat.
