The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VEU453S is an electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering the Adriatic Sea, South Coast from Porto Civitanova (Italy) down to Siracusa (Sicily) and from Split (Croatia) to Killini (Greece). It includes Auto Guidance route suggestions plus depth range shading for up to 10 depth ranges, shallow water shading, and detailed contours up to 1 foot in supported areas.

Where the chart data supports it, you also get 3D views (MarinerEye and FishEye) along with satellite imagery and aerial photography that make it easier to sanity-check what you are seeing when approaching a marina or picking your way into an unfamiliar harbor.

Variants

VEU453S is available in two delivery formats.

Both options cover the same Adriatic Sea, South Coast region. The difference is how you receive the cartography and how it is loaded onto your chartplotter system.

• 010-C0797-00: Format SD Card. A pre-programmed microSD/SD card that you insert into the chartplotter and keep installed while you use the charts.
• 010-D0467-00: Format Download. Loaded with Garmin Express onto a microSD/SD card for use in a registered chartplotter; the download is tied to the device it is registered to.

Compatibility and fit

This chart is for Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 Vision mapping and use a microSD or SD card slot for cartography. Some premium layers and 3D features depend on the chartplotter model and software, so it is normal to see certain views available on one unit and not another.

If you have multiple displays on a Garmin Marine Network, the chart can be viewed across compatible networked units from a single mapping card when it is inserted into a supported chartplotter. For the download format, the mapping card needs to be in the chartplotter it was registered to for the charts to appear and share across the network.

Installation and setup

SD card format is straightforward: power the plotter down, insert the card, then boot up and select the chart layer. Keep the card in place so the cartography stays available.

Download format is installed with Garmin Express on a computer and written to a microSD/SD card that is dedicated to this chart. Plan on using one chart per card, and avoid mixing other cartography on the same card.
