Overview
The Garmin 010-13228-02 is an 8-degree pole mount bracket for the LiveScope Plus LVS34 transducer. It sets the transducer at a fixed 8-degree offset, which helps line up the live view when you run the transducer on a pole for ice fishing or open-water scanning.
This is a mechanical mounting accessory, so it does not change sonar performance or your electronics setup. It is simply the bracket that holds the LVS34 at the intended angle on a pole-based install, so you can aim the transducer without relying on a trolling motor mount.
On a boat, a dedicated pole setup is a common way to sweep structure, hold on fish while spot-locked, or scan quietly around docks and grass edges. This mount keeps the transducer orientation consistent while you steer the pole.
Key features
- Fits the Garmin LiveScope Plus LVS34 transducer, including systems sold with the LVS34.
- 8-degree mount angle to set the transducer face at a consistent tilt on a pole setup.
- Works for ice fishing and open-water use when you want to deploy and steer the transducer separately from the trolling motor.
- Pole-mount bracket format for attaching the transducer to a round pole used for scanning and repositioning.
- Helps reduce unwanted movement by keeping the transducer securely supported while you sweep and hold direction.
- Accessory-only bracket intended for use with an existing LVS34 transducer and its normal cable routing.
Compatibility and fit
Compatibility is straightforward: this mount is for the LiveScope Plus LVS34 transducer body. If you are running an LVS34 as part of a LiveScope Plus system, this mount matches that transducer.
Since this is a pole mount, overall fit also depends on the pole you are using. Use a straight, rigid pole that does not flex under the transducer and cable, and re-check clamp tightness after the first outing, especially if your pole has a smooth coating.
Installation and setup
Mount the bracket on the pole at a height that keeps the transducer fully submerged while scanning. For ice fishing, keep the top of the transducer below the bottom of the ice so the beam is not blocked.
Secure the transducer cable up the pole with enough slack near the mount so steering and small adjustments do not pull on the cable or connector. After you dial in the direction you like, snug all fasteners and check them again after a few hours of use and after trailering.
Use on board
This style of mount is a good match for anglers who run a dedicated LiveScope pole for forward-facing scanning, vertical scanning near the boat, or ice-fishing hole hopping. It also makes sense on smaller boats and kayaks where you want the transducer to sweep independently while the motor stays pointed where you need it.
Maintenance and care
After saltwater use, rinse the mount and surrounding hardware with fresh water, wipe it dry, and store it out of direct sun when it is not on the boat. Periodically clear grit from the clamp area and check for any loosened fasteners after long runs in chop.
