Overview

The Vimar 8000 Series is a range of 3 special module Snapfix cover plates for 3-module flush mounting boxes, offered here in gold, bronze, and ivory finishes. All versions fit mounting frame 08531.S, install with snap fixing and clamp mounting, and can be set horizontally or vertically with a 3-module horizontal layout or 1-module vertical layout.

For a boat refit, this is the visible trim piece around the wiring device assembly rather than the device itself. It works best in protected interior spaces such as cabins, salons, and enclosed helm areas, where the plate stays out of washdowns and direct weather. The listed protection rating is IP00, so it is not meant for exposed exterior mounting.

Finish and base material change by variant. Gold and bronze versions use anodized aluminium with a matt surface and measure 120 x 75.5 x 6 mm. The ivory version uses resin with a matt surface and measures 123 x 75.5 x 6 mm.

• VM08657: Gold finish in anodized aluminium with a matt surface. This version keeps the metal look of the range while using the same flush-mount snap-fix format.
• VM08657.BR: Bronze finish in anodized aluminium with a matt surface. The darker tone works well where the switch trim needs to sit naturally with warmer hardware and interior fittings.
• VM08657.A: Ivory finish in resin with a matt surface. This version changes both color and material, and its listed width is 123 mm instead of 120 mm.
