Overview
The Vimar 8000 Series is a 2-module cover plate for ø 60 mm round mounting boxes, used to finish a Vimar 8000 wiring device neatly on a bulkhead or interior panel.
It mounts with screws and can be oriented horizontally or vertically. The plate is anodized aluminium with a matt finish and measures 79.50 mm x 79.50 mm with a 6.00 mm depth.
Protection rating is IP00, so it belongs in dry, sheltered locations, or behind a door or cover if the area sees spray or washdowns.

Variants
Offered in two finishes to match surrounding hardware and interior trim.
Both versions share the same 2-module layout for ø 60 mm round boxes and use screw fixing; the difference is the visible color finish.
- VM08506.BR (Color: Bronze). Bronze tone similar to RAL 1036 for darker metal accents and warm wood interiors.
- VM08506 (Color: Gold). Gold tone similar to RAL 1035 for a lighter anodized look in bright cabins and consoles.
Compatibility and fit
Fits ø 60 mm round mounting boxes when used with the matching Vimar mounting frame 08502. The opening pattern is for a 2-module Vimar 8000 configuration, so confirm your inserts and frame match the 8000 module system before ordering.
Installation and setup
Set the mounting frame so it sits flat on the box, then position the cover plate and tighten the fixing screws evenly until snug. On boats, avoid over-tightening on thin liners and re-check fasteners after the first few trips if the panel is in a high-vibration area.
Use on board
Common locations include cabins, nav stations, galleys, heads, and protected cockpit consoles where Vimar 8000 switches or sockets are installed. It is a straightforward way to keep a uniform faceplate size and finish across a refit or new panel build.
Maintenance and care
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap as needed, then rinse with fresh water after salty trips. Skip abrasive pads and aggressive cleaners so the matt anodized finish keeps its look.
